Brand strategy questions I get.
What is brand strategy?
Brand strategy is the plan behind how a business shows up: who it's for, what makes it different, what it stands for, and how it talks about itself. It guides the logo, the website, the sales conversation, and the marketing.
What does a brand strategy consultant do?
A brand strategy consultant helps founders answer the questions a brand has to settle, usually through research and a working session, then writes it into a strategy the business can use. At GiddyBrands that consultant is me, and the same person can carry it through to identity, website, and marketing.
Should I hire a brand strategy agency or a consultant?
An agency brings a team and usually a bigger price, with the strategy often handed to junior staff to execute. A consultant brings senior thinking but may stop at the document. GiddyBrands sits between: senior strategy from the person you talk to, and a small team to build it if you want.
How much does brand strategy cost?
It depends on the scope, from a single workshop and written strategy to strategy as the first phase of a full brand build. GiddyBrands quotes one flat rate before work starts, and the strategy is included in every brand build.
What do you get from a brand strategy?
A written strategy covering who you're for, why you exist, how you're different, your values, your voice, and your core messages, plus naming if you need it. Everything designed afterward is built from that document.
How long does brand strategy take?
Usually about two weeks: a little prep, one full-day workshop, and about a week to write the strategy.
Do I need brand strategy before a new website?
Only if your story isn't settled. If your team can say what makes you different in one sentence and agree on it, you can go straight to the website. If not, a new site will just present the confusion more nicely.
